Founder of Drum Nest
As professional drummer in Los Angeles, Ryan has had to adapt to a variety of musical environments. “I couldn’t find a percussion rig that had everything I needed in one place, like a cocktail kit but for percussionists that delivers kick, snare & hi hat sounds but in line with an acoustic singer / songwriter aesthetic & sound,” Ryan explains. “So I created my own custom rig with what I could find in the market, testing various products to create the right sound & configuration.”
Still not satisfied with what he found, Ryan enlisted his Dad Marvin, an engineer by trade and a master woodworker, to help create. This is when the idea for Drum Nest was hatched. Designed by a lifelong drummer for drummers, the only self-storing percussion set that delivers rich drum set tones from a cajon, bass drum, snare drum & hi-hat, custom-made from artisan, hand-crafted natural wood.
